Marc Jones, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Jones has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry as a securities lawyer, investment banker and senior business executive.

Prior to Aeris, Mr. Jones was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Visionael, raising over $40M in capital to fund their rapid growth. Prior to Visionael, Mr. Jones was the President of Madge Networks, a company that grew during his tenure from $40M to $500M in revenue with a successful IPO.

Mr. Jones has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Stanford University and a J.D. degree from Stanford Law School.

 

Steve Millstein, Managing Director, Automotive

Mr. Millstein is responsible for directing and managing automotive practice. Mr. Millstein started in the connected vehicle industry in 1996. He led ATX Group from then until its acquisition by Cross Country Automotive Services in 2008. Prior to that he led the home security operations of Westar  where he grew the organization from concept to the nation’s third largest home security company with over 3000 employees in 50 branches throughout the US. Mr. Millstein has also held numerous positions at Southwestern Bell and AT&T, including Vice President of their wireless subsidiary.

Mr. Millstein holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in political science from the University of Kansas and a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University.

 

Susan Harman, VP of Business Development & CFO

Ms. Harman has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry as an entrepreneur and executive, a consultant, an investment banker and an investor.

Prior to Aeris, Ms. Harman served as president of MicroEdge, Inc., a subsidiary of Advent Software.  She also served as founding COO of Curriki, a non-profit organization providing open source curriculum, and founding COO of Bigchalk, an online educational resource provider.  Ms. Harman was co-founder and president of Core Learning, a private investment fund focused on educational technology.  She was a Managing Director of Robertson, Stephens & Co. early in her career and managed over 100 private and public offerings for technology companies.

Ms. Harman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Towson University and an MBA from Stanford University

 

John Molise, VP of Operations

Mr. Molise is responsible for network operations and development.

Mr. Molise has over 10 years of experience in the broadband and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Aeris in 2008, Mr. Molise held a broad range of finance and technology leadership positions for Charter Communications, a Fortune 500 cable and broadband company based in Saint Louis, MO.  Most recently, he was in charge of operations strategy for Charter’s commercial services business unit.

Mr. Molise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.

 
Mark Cratsenburg, VP of Sales and Marketing

Mr. Cratsenburg is responsible for customer facing support, including Sales, Marketing and technical sales support.

Mr. Cratsenburg has over 15 years of experience in telecommunications.  Prior to joining Aeris, Mr. Cratsenburg was the VP of Sales for the CDMA cellular infrastructure business unit within Ericsson, and prior to that, he spent 4 years with Qualcomm supporting their rapid overseas expansion.

Mr. Cratsenburg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, and a Masters degree from DePaul University

 

Drew Johnson, VP of Engineering

Mr. Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry as a software engineer, engineering leader, and engineering executive.

Prior to Aeris, Mr. Johnson was VP of Engineering at Openwave Systems, overseeing a portfolio of mobile and messaging products generating $70M annually. Prior to Openwave, Mr. Johnson was Director of Engineering at mobile start-up SoloMio in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Johnson has a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois.

 

Richard Johnson, VP of Technical Operations

Mr. Johnson comes to Aeris with a wealth of telecom experience, at both T-Mobile and Northrup Grumman.  Richard will be leading day to day network operations as Aeris scales up to support multiple automotive OEM launches and other major M2M customer rollouts.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Technological Management from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Telecommunication and Computing Management from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

 

Syed Zaeem Hosain, Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Hosain is responsible for the architecture and future direction of Aeris's networks, development programs and technology strategy. He joined Aeris in 1996 as Vice President, Engineering and member of the founding executive team of Aeris.

Mr. Hosain has over thirty-two years experience in the semiconductor, computer and telecommunications industries, including product development, architecture design and technical management. Prior to joining Aeris, he held senior engineering and management positions at Analog Devices, Cypress Semiconductor, CAD National and ESS Technology.

Mr. Hosain is Chairman of the International Forum on ANSI-41 Standards Technology (IFAST) and represents Aeris at the CDMA Development Group (CDG). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA.
