For wireless data connectivity, Aeris utilizes VPN connections between Aeris and our customers.  For SMS connectivity, Aeris uses SMPP connections between our customers and the Aeris.  For device management and account control, Aeris uses standard API’s such as XML or SOAP to connect to our AerFrame platform to provision, activate and manage the wireless data aspects of the wireless endpoints.  In addition, Aeris has a web portal called AerPort that allows internet based access for account and device control and information.

Aeris offers voice, IP connectivity via 1XRTT or GPRS, and SMS connectivity to devices.

The AerFrame platform provides the essential functionality required to deploy M2M devices, specifically the ability to provision and activate wireless devices, determine data and voice usage, apply monthly billing, and have full account and device management.  In addition, Aeris has built AerFrame to accommodate a real time database of device information, so you can access at no cost information on device traffic and registration in real time and set alarms and alerts for specific thresholds.

Aeris has worked with the CDMA radio module suppliers to create Aeris SKU radios that optimize the performance of your solution.  In addition, Aeris will work with you to make sure that your CDMA radio modules are provisioned and activated early in your supply chain process with automated links into our provisioning and activation AerFrame platform.  For GSM, Aeris will supply you with SIM cards.

No.  Aeris  has deep relationships with the device and radio module vendors and can provide assistance in choosing the hardware that works for your needs, but we do not sell these products directly.
