Aeris Communications Selected as a Finalist for 2011 International Telematics Awards

E-mail Print PDF

SAN JOSE, CA - May 17, 2011 – Aeris Communications Inc., the leading telematics network services provider, was recognized by the telematics industry association, Telematics Update, as a finalist for the 'Best Telematics Safety Solution' award for its eCallDirect solution. Additionally, Aeris’ Vice President in charge of telematics, Paul Drysch, was named a finalist in the prestigious ‘Telematics Industry Leadership’ award.  Both awards are selected by an independent panel of telematics industry experts who evaluated telematics solutions and industry executives from around the world.

eCallDirect, Aeris’ patented solution for car companies and their telematics service providers, provides an immediate, accurate, and direct response to emergency situations. With Aeris’s eCallDirect, data is sent at the same time a voice call is made from the vehicle. Automatically, and in real time, details on the identity of the occupants, the location of the vehicle, and the severity of the crash are received at a call center, assessed, and forwarded to the nearest emergency call center. Aeris’s uninterrupted, simultaneous communication path enables the call center to relay pertinent data to the appropriate call center agent, equipping them with enough information to send the right response to the right location in the fastest time possible.

Aeris is also honored that their head of Telematics, Paul Drysch, has been named an award finalist.  Paul has a long and distinguished career in the automotive and telematics business, with senior positions at Honda, Wireless Car and Aeris.  He is an active speaker at industry events and has represented multiple companies on various trade organizations.  With Aeris, Paul has been the primary driver behind our phenomenal success in the automotive space, and we extend our wholehearted congratulations on the well deserved nomination.

Final award winners will be announced at a Telematics Update Awards ceremony on June 7th in Novi, MI.
