The global community is facing unprecedented challenges and on behalf of Aeris, we hope that you, your families, and communities emerge through this period in good health. Many among us, including health care workers and essential service providers, are on the front lines, working tirelessly, and we offer them our endless thanks and gratitude during this extraordinarily difficult time.
The COVID-19 pandemic poses unique challenges to the business community, and Aeris is no exception. First and foremost is the health and safety of our employees, and we have taken steps at all our offices to prioritize safety above all else. For most of our offices, shelter-in-place orders are in effect and employees are working from home in order to slow the spread of the virus.
At the same time, the continuity of our operations is of paramount importance. Aeris serves more than 14 million devices today, and many of our customers are providing critical services that are directly relevant to this crisis, including patient monitoring, emergency response, and commercial telematics. Reliable service delivery to all of our customers is an ironclad commitment from Aeris, and we take this commitment very seriously.
We are executing on our plans to make sure we have the staffing and redundancy required to support our customers’ needs, irrespective of whatever travel or work restrictions may arise. Specific items that I would like to highlight:
- There is no network infrastructure at our office locations. All infrastructure is contained in hardened data centers or in the cloud. Any impacts to individual offices have no impact on the physical operations of our services. Our service platform was architected for nimble, remote operation and we have practiced these operating methodologies for two decades.
- Our customer support team and operations team are fully functional and will remain so. We have global teams with individuals across 4 offices and 3 countries. All of these locations are cross trained and are a part of one global support and operations organization. You can count on continued superior support from the Aeris team.
In closing, I have no doubt that we’ll get through this by working together with optimism and perseverance, and most importantly, kindness and compassion. Aeris will be here for you every step of the way. Until then, take care of yourself and each other.
