Channel Insider, the noted media outlet following partner activities in the tech industry, recognized Aeris Neo Affiliate program last week, touching on perhaps the most important consideration for partners revenue.
The Aeris partner program gives IoT device makers, distributors and resellers a new recurring revenue stream for M2M connectivity, it said.
The article, Aeris Launches Affiliate Program for IoT Partners, included an interview with Raj Kannan, Aeris CMO, who believes customers buying M2M devices and modules need to have them connected, opening up a vibrant opportunity for the device makers or resellers to offer a connectivity option.
It makes it easier for the customer, and it's a value-add for our partners, enabling them to move from a product transaction to a recurring revenue stream, Kannan said. As we bill that customer on a monthly basis, they continue to participate in the revenue stream."
In effect, the Neo affiliate program gives partners another line of business to offer their customers. "Resellers and distributors, said Kanaya, are more interested in how they are able to participate economically in the M2M world beyond just selling product."
