Connected World magazine has picked up on the importance of the Opportunity Gap defined by Aeris Communications with its launch earlier this month of Aeris GSP, its global service platform for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications specifically for mobile network operators.
Aeris said mobile operators face an Opportunity Gap - the set of M2M opportunities held back by high cost thresholds, low revenue per connection, or platform inflexibilities. Connected World used the premise for an article published Monday, titled, Bridging the Opportunity Gap.
As the M2M market takes shape, industry players must continually reshape their approach in order to take advantage of the markets tremendous growth, the magazine said. By bridging the M2M opportunity gap, companies looking to make machine-to-machine devices and solutions more profitable are investing in the future of the Internet of Things.
The Aeris GSP Platform-as-a-Service can be deployed via multiple modular service packages, so that operators can be up and running with the starting configuration in as little as 30 days, allowing them to significantly lower current M2M service delivery costs, adapt to unique M2M business models, and offer advanced data services to increase M2M revenue per connection.
