What happens in Vegas doesnt have to stay in Vegas, not if its a productive and exciting tradeshow like IoT Evolution West 2015. Aeris was glad to attend this week with a booth, demos, and panels, where we talked with people from Korea, Japan, China, India, Germany, the UK, and more about IoT/M2M connectivity.
Aeris AerCloud Demo
Our booth at IoT Evolution West featured a demonstration of AerCloud, our cloud-based applications enablement platform for collecting, managing, and analyzing sensor data for IoT applications. What made this demo unique was that we connected the platform to a small refrigerator hooked up to sensors and stocked with beer and sodas. As beer and soda cans were removed from the fridge, the sensors sent an alert through AerCloud notifying the operator that the fridge was running low or was empty. While everyone loves a cold drink, the real purpose of this connected refrigerator was to show how cellular connectivity, sensor data management, and rapid application development work together.
Zs Panels at IoT West
Aeris Chief Technology Officer, Syed Z Hosain, was busy on August 19, speaking on three different panels. In the M2M Evolution area, he discussed the topic of Unlocking Business Value with representatives from Aria Systems, ParLevel Systems, IBM, and Machina Research. Then Z talked in the Fog Computing, Analytics & Data pavilion on Architectural Ideology with executives from Cisco, Cradlepoint, ILS Technology, OpenGear, and KidoZen. His final panel was about Lessons in Fleet Management, which included VPs from Trimble and Geotab.
Whether you came for the free beer or to talk in-depth about IoT/M2M technology, we hope you came by the Aeris booth and enjoyed the panel discussions at IoT Evolution West. Next month, well be at CTIA Super Mobility, also in Las Vegas, and M2M Summit in Germany, so add those to your calendars.
